Helping Small Businesses and the Community thrive together.
Success through
Business!
Mission Statement
The Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce (SCBCC) exists to support, advocate for, and grow businesses of all backgrounds by strengthening economic opportunity, promoting entrepreneurship, and building strategic partnerships throughout Solano County and beyond.
We recognize that Black and African American-owned businesses often face distinct challenges—particularly around access to capital, procurement opportunities, and equitable networks. We place intentional emphasis on addressing those realities through advocacy, education, and access.
At the same time, we are clear-eyed about growth: operating in a silo limits scale, influence, and opportunity. Sustainable success comes from integration, collaboration, and strategic alignment across industries, sectors, and communities.
We focus on business. Period.

What We Do?
The Solano County Black Chamber of Commerce operates at the intersection of business growth, economic advocacy, and strategic connection. Our work is practical, intentional, and designed to produce measurable outcomes for the businesses and institutions we serve.
Business Development
We support businesses at every stage—from startup to scale. Our business development efforts focus on strengthening operational capacity, increasing revenue opportunities, and preparing businesses to compete in broader markets.
This includes: • Workshops and trainings focused on core business fundamentals and growth strategies
• Technical assistance and guidance for business readiness
• Support navigating certifications, compliance, and procurement processes
• Connecting businesses to capital resources, lenders, and funding opportunities
Our goal is not short-term motivation—it is long-term viability and growth.
Economic Advocacy
We serve as a collective business voice in local, regional, and state-level conversations that impact commerce and economic policy.
This includes: • Representing business interests before public agencies and decision-makers
• Advocating for fair access to contracts, funding, and economic programs
• Engaging in policy discussions that affect small and minority-owned businesses
• Educating members on regulatory and legislative issues that impact their operations
Our advocacy is informed, disciplined, and focused on outcomes—not rhetoric.
Networking & Strategic Access
We create environments where meaningful business relationships are formed—beyond surface-level networking.
This includes: • Curated networking events and business mixers
• Vendor and procurement matchmaking opportunities
• Introductions to corporate, nonprofit, and public-sector partners
• Platforms that elevate member visibility and credibility
We prioritize access over volume and relationships over appearances.
Programs & Initiatives
Our programs are designed to address real gaps in opportunity while preparing businesses to operate beyond limited ecosystems.
This includes: • Signature annual events and business expos
• Youth and young adult entrepreneurship initiatives
• Professional and leadership development programs
• Collaborative initiatives with public and private partners
Every program is aligned with our mission: building strong businesses that can compete, grow, and endure.
